CPU(Central Processing Unit),the electronic circuitry within a computer that carries out the instructions of acomputer program by performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control and input/output (I/O) operations,it is the core of computer.
 
CPU produce more heat with more cores and higher frequency,so heat transfer and dissipation is more important,or the CPU will stop working when the temperature is too high.
 
Warning temperature is 72 °C,temperature is 135 °C, when the temperature of the inner core of CPU more than 72 °C,temperature controlling circuit will work and reduce the frequency to protect the core of CPU
 
Temperature rising more than 85 °C, performance of the CPU will decrease 50% ,Temperature rising more than 94 °C,system will comes down, and if more than 135°C, computer will shut down
 
Air cooling is the general cooling method for the computers now, It works by making the object to be cooled have a larger surface area or have an increased flow of air over its surface, or both. An example of the former is to add cooling fins to the surface of the object, either by making them integral or by attaching them tightly to the object's surface (to ensure efficient heat transfer). In the case of the latter it is done by using a fan blowing air into or onto the object one wants to cool. The addition of fins to a heat sink increases its total surface area, resulting in greater cooling effectiveness.
In all cases, the air has to be cooler than the object or surface from which it is expected to remove heat. This is due to the second law of thermodynamics, which states that heat will only move spontaneously from a hot reservoir (the heat sink) to a cold reservoir (the air).
 
Water cooling is another method of heat removal from components and industrial equipment. As opposed to air cooling, water is used as the heat conductor. Water cooling is commonly used for cooling automobile internal combustion engines and large industrial facilities such as steam electric power plants, hydroelectric generators, petroleum refineries and chemical plants.[1] Other uses include cooling the barrels of machine guns, cooling of lubricant oil in pumps; for cooling purposes inheat exchangers; cooling products from tanks or columns, and recently, cooling of various major components inside high-endpersonal computers.
